Indoor Percussion

Indoor percussion is a unique activity combining many of the best elements of a music program such as jazz, symphonic, marching band, theater production, stage musicals, and a sports team. These multiple influences combine to create a unique performing arts experience. Thus, indoor percussion is a blend of various co-curricular and extra-curricular activities that produces what we call “The Sport of the Arts.”

An indoor percussion program is not only educationally sound but can also have a dramatic and positive influence on the marching band program. In our situation, the percussion ensemble will be an extra-curricular activity (with a prerequisite of being enrolled in a marching band class) that offers participation to everyone. We will have multiple main goals that we will look to achieve every season.

Our Mission

  • To learn how to play and perform at a high level
  • To strive for excellence within our music and themselves
  • To develop teamwork through working towards a common goal
  • To achieve the highest possible ranking in our competitive circle
  • To compete with excellent sportsmanship
  • To interact with peers from other communities
  • To entertain on a larger scale
