Jazz Band is an extracurricular activity that meets throughout the year. The basic fundamentals of the jazz idiom will be studied, and performance is the course’s goal. The band directors conduct auditions once the school year begins to determine a student’s placement in either Jazz Lab Band or Jazz Ensemble.
Except for guitar and piano players, participation in these ensembles requires a student to be enrolled in a band or orchestra class.
