Thur. Jan. 15: Nashville Trip Rehearsal, 3:30-5pm
Thursday, January 15: Jazz Band Rehearsal, 5:00-6:30pm

Director’s Notes

Hello Band Families!

Congratulations to everyone who participated in the North Shore Honor Band Festival this weekend! You represented our program and school very well!

If you are participating in V-Show in any capacity, you must be at the meeting on Monday after school. There is still time to sign up for pit! Click this link to fill out the sign-up form. The full pit schedule can be found here

The Nashville trip is this Friday! We continue with rehearsals this week as well as a mandatory meeting on Monday at 5:45pm in the West Cafeteria. 

Pep Band season is here! You can find the full schedule here. Please note that dates and times are subject to change. If there are any changes, they will be announced via Google Classroom and Eblast.

Upcoming Event: Jazz Cafe on January 27

All band students and families are invited to our largest fundraiser of the year, Jazz Cafe Night. We would love 100% participation from all band families. How can you help?

  • Consider a tax-deductible year-end gift to GBSIL. 
  • Check to see if your company matches gifts.
  • Donate items or experiences for our silent auction.
  • Volunteer! We are seeking an underclassman parent to help co-chair this event.

in order to donate items, volunteer or attend the event. 
Proceeds from the Jazz Cafe & Auction benefit all band students.

Student Fundraising

Raise Right fundraising continues to go well! Nineteen families are currently participating, and they have earned an average of $147 that can be used for band fees or the upcoming band trip.
