Director’s Notes
Hello Band Families!
Congratulations to everyone who participated in the amazing run of “Chicago” this week! It was a fantastic production!
Drum Major auditions are happening THIS WEEK! There will be a clinic on Monday after school for students who are interested in auditioning. Auditions will be Wednesday, beginning at 3:45pm. In order to vote, students must be in attendance at the auditions. The candidates will be conducting “God Bless America.” Students can find the sheet music for this in Google Classroom.
With different events happening throughout the next few weeks, there are some changes to the jazz band schedule. Here is the remaining schedule for jazz band:
Thursday, May 8, 3:30-5:30
Tuesday, May 13, 4:30-6:30
Tuesday, May 20, 7pm performance (Call time TBD)
All curricular band classes will be performing on May 15th! Call times for each band are as follows:
Symphonic Winds: 5:30pm
Symphonic-Concert Band: 5:55pm
Titan Band: 6:15pm
The marching band will be performing at the Glenview Memorial Day Parade on May 26th! The parade will begin at 10am. Click the link for the itinerary for the band.

If you are a student who has read everything in the eblast, send Mr. Boron an email that says you read the entire eblast. The first person to email will win a prize!

Join us to celebrate the 2024-2025 GBS Band Program!
All students and their parents are invited.
No denim. Students will be seated together.
Entrée selection from available options will be made upon arrival at the event. Choices include vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free.
$40 per person. Class of 2025 students are free!
